Please note that Polk County Severe Weather Alerts are sent directly from the National Weather Service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Current Road Closure message group distributes as many as ten updates a day. The other message categories provide less frequent updates with some categories only distributing information once a month and others issuing two to four messages a week.
