The County can use this system to notify the public in the event of an emergency, such as a chemical spill or the need for a boil order for the water supply system. Additionally, you may request notification in the event of a severe weather alerts. The system provides a voice, text, and/or email or pager alert to the number provided by the resident.

This is a free service provided by the Washington County, IA; however, normal messaging fees may be applied by your service provider. To receive text messages to your cell phone, your cell phone must have text messaging capabilities. NOTE: Washington County cannot guarantee notifications will be received by the intended recipient as notifications are dependent upon external providers (phone carrier, cell phone provider, email service, etc.) By registering below, you will not receive unsolicited calls, and neither the County nor its system vendor sells the contact number database.

For each phone number indicate if a voice or text message is desired. If both are desired, enter the same phone number twice indicating “text” for one and “voice” for the other.
