Sign up here for JCENS Alerts! In the event of an emergency or severe weather condition, an alert will be sent to the phone number provided by voice, text, email and/or pager.
This is a free service provided by Johnson County, however, normal message fees may apply. To receive text messages to your cell phone, your cell phone must have text messaging capabilities. Notifications are dependent upon external providers (phone carrier, cell phone, email, pager). Johnson County cannot guarantee notifications will be received by the intended recipient.
Alerts sent from JCENS Alerts will originate from 69310 for text messages and (319) 356-6799 for phone calls. Please be sure to save these in your phone book as JCENS alerts.
Email alerts will originate from JCAlerts@jecc-ema.org. Be sure to adjust your SPAM filter to allow these messages.
In order to receive both text and voice alerts, you must enter your cell phone number twice. Select the “Text” option the first time and the “Voice” option the second time.
