City of Green Emergency Alerts

Sign up here for GreenAlert! In the event of an emergency or severe weather condition, an alert will be sent to the phone number provided by voice, text, email and/or pager.

This is a free service provided by the City of Green, however, normal message fees may apply. To receive text messages to your cell phone, your cell phone must have text messaging capabilities. Notifications are dependent upon external providers (phone carrier, cell phone, email, pager). The City of Green cannot guarantee notifications will be received by the intended recipient.

Check here to receive TORNADO WARNINGS and other SEVERE WEATHER alerts.

If a TORNADO WARNING is issued by NOAA for your location, you will be notified anytime day or night by phone call to your home phone number, cellular phone number and text if you have registered those devices with GreenAlert!

If you have a published phone number in the white pages listing of the phone book, you should already be registered to get the voice notification. If you think you may not be pre-registered, please call 330-896-6610 to confirm or add your landline phone number.

If another type of severe weather warning is issued by NOAA for your location, a text message will be sent to your registered cellular phone, pager or email between the hours of 9am – 9pm. Examples of these NOAA alerts include Heavy Snow, Ice Storm, Wind Chill, Blizzard, High Wind, and Severe Thunderstorm Warnings.
